Carmen Vidal Balanzat

She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). She has studied cinema in New York (CCNY), Prague (FAMU) and Cuba (EICTV). She is a winner of an Oscar-Student Academy Award® (Oscar for students) for the short “6 am” and seven NY Emmys Awards®. She is currently the producer of the television magazine “Nueva York” (CUNY TV) about the life of the Latino community in that city. As part of her interest in social issues, she has worked with non-governmental organizations in several countries. She has also taught as adjunct professor at the film program at CCNY (City College of New York)
